- What is AllTrack?AllTrack allows you to track your expenses while you actually do and not as an afterthought. Using your mobile phone, which is always with you. You do this by sending SMS to us.
- What are the various things that I can track?We have made certain categories for you to track things easily. You can track anything that has a number. Like your expense. Or your calories intake. And you can track anything that has no numbers in them. Like this wonderful idea you had to get rid of global warming. And you can track time. Like the time you and your husband spent with the family in a day. And you can track your daily habits. Like you went to the gym or not.
In short, if you can imagine it and put it in 160 characters, you can track it.
- How do I register for AllTrack? You can register to AllTrack by visiting here and submitting your mobile number and email address. Else, on having a pin number, you can send an SMS: I am Rahul or I am Anoo – your name goes in there – you will get the response asking for your pin and email address to complete the registration.
- I am in Mumbai. Which number do I send an SMS to? AllTrack has numbers in Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai.

- Can I use AllTrack to watch my calories? Of course, yes! You can use AllTrack to track anything from expenses to calories. So go ahead and explore! If you still cannot figure out, look at our Learn more section for this and other examples.
- I deleted the Help messages I received from AllTrack. How do I get help now? SMS: Help <topic>. For easy access, we have made help topics like track, note, timer, todo, habits and recall. For instance, SMS: Help track to get help on expenses.
- I would love to track the time my husband is on his BlackBerry. But we always end up in an argument on whether its 20 or 25 minutes? This is exactly why you should use AllTrack to track time. It's simple. Just SMS: BlackBerry- Tick and we will start recording the time. SMS: BlackBerry- Tock to stop ticking. In your dashboard, you can exactly find the time he was on his BlackBerry. Or you can recall on SMS. Moreover, you can actually compare the time he was with his BlackBerry this week, month, year. So no more confusion, just the facts!
- I have certain habits to track if they are done or not the exact time. Is there a way I can do this? Yes, of course! SMS: Gym- Gym yes and we will mark it as done on that day. In case you haven't sent a track on any particular day, we will mark it as a No. In your dashboard, you can see how regular you were to the gym this month. Also, if it is a single item group, you can abbreviate it to Gym- yes.
- I have two different budgets set for my monthly expense and house construction. Can I keep track separately? Yes, you can! You can create as many groups as you like and track expenses under each group. It is as easy as typing a group name followed by the expense.
For instance, House- cement 1500 bricks 800 will record the expense under the group House.
- Can I track all my medicines as multiple items in one group? Yes, of course! SMS: Medicines- Bcomplex yes and Medicines- Sandocal yes. We shall group it under the same group name 'Medicines'. In your dashboard, you can see all of them under one group.
- I am in my dashboard. How do I edit one of the tracks in a group? Click on the group name in the Home page. You will see the list of the tracks in that group. Click on a track to modify or delete it.
- I see my tracks sorted by week. How do I change it to a month view? Simple! In the dasboard, you will see Showing Total using Weekly data aggregated by Group under each group. Click on the Weekly and choose Monthly from that list. You will see this month's tracks on doing so. You can also choose between Group and Items. Also, based on your data type, you can choose Min, Max, Avg and Count by clicking on Total.
- I have spent Rs. 500 on groceries this week. How can I see the percentage of amount spent on groceries in my total spend? In the “Compare” window of that group, click on “As percentage” the spend on each item in terms of percentage is displayed. Moreover, you can compare it over 6 weeks.
- I have made a typo error while sending the SMS. How do I correct it? It is simple! Send an SMS: Cancel to cancel the immediate last track.
- How do I know that you have received the track I have sent? Once we receive your track, we send you an acknowledgement immediately. Sometimes messages do get lost due to congestion and network traffic. Show recent will tell you if your track has reached us at all.
If you get no response for this query as well, then you should assume that there is congestion in the SMS network and try after sometime. Also, see the next question.
- I send a track but did not get any response? Why? Likely your message got lost. You can ping if the service is alive. Send a: Ping and you will know.
- I would like to see my last 10 tracks for quick reference. Is there a way to do so? You can SMS: Show recent and we will send you an SMS with the last few tracks. Else, you can login to your dashboard on the AllTrack website.
- I would like to know the expenditure under a certain group. How do I do so? SMS: Show <group name>- and we will respond back to you with the last few tracks under that group.
For instance, Show house- will give you the last few tracks in House. Also note that the group names are not case sensitive.
- I would like to jot down a check list while on the go. How do I do that? You can SMS a note with a prefix – (press minus once). If you want to group it, start with <group name>-
For instance, Shopping- -groceries, saree, gifts, chocolate will record it under Shopping.
- I have recorded my Shopping list under the group Shopping. How do I get it? SMS: Show shopping- and we will respond back to you with the list. Actually, we do something more.
We respond with the last three shopping lists you had made, just in case you forgot to pick something up!
- Sometimes, I remember something outside and I want to do it the first thing at the office. Is there some way to make my note be sent as an email immediately, so that I have it in my inbox? Yes, you can! Send a note to the group Todo and it will be sent as an email / SMS to you immediately.
For example, SMS: Todo-- I have to post that report by the end of the day, and we will end the email out to you. However, you will still have to work on sending that report out!
We also do something more. If you send a note to the group Todo via the dashboard, you can set a reminder date. We will send you an SMS / email 24 hours prior and also on the day of the task.
- I now forgot the name of a group? Was it grocery or groceries? Never mind. Simply SMS: show groups and we will send back a list of all your group names! We really want to untie your life!
- How do I change my email address? Send us an SMS: email <new email address> and we shall update it in our records.
- As I am sending my expenses, I am concerned on the security. How secure is the data? We understand your concern and take privacy and security issues very seriously. You should read our detailed pages on privacy and security. Here, we will just say that nobody has access to data except two senior personnel. No developer or support person has access to the data. Your data is safe in our hands.
